Website Manager / Social Media
Role Overview: The Website Manager / Social Media Specialist will oversee the technical operations of a brand new website focusing on Turkey and global economics. The manager will be required to use Wix, ensuring the site remains functional, visually appealing, and up-to-date. This role also involves creating and disseminating content across social media platforms to engage audiences and drive traffic. Fluency in Turkish (speaking and writing) is required, with English proficiency highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities:

Website Management:

Update website content in Turkish and ensure optimal functionality and user-friendly navigation.

Address technical issues on Wix and liaise with contributors for content integration.

Collaborate with the editorial team to feature interviews, articles, and multimedia content.

Optimise the website’s SEO in Turkish, with some English-language elements as needed.

Social Media Management:

Develop and implement a comprehensive social media strategy, targeting Turkish-speaking audiences while expanding to international platforms when necessary.

Create and schedule engaging posts in Turkish, with English posts as required.

Monitor engagement metrics and adapt strategies to enhance visibility and community interaction.

Respond to audience queries and comments in Turkish, fostering a sense of community.

Utilise analytics tools to track performance and report insights for improvement.

Skills and Qualifications:

Fluency in Turkish (written and spoken) is essential; proficiency in English is highly preferred.

Experience managing websites, specifically using Wix or similar platforms.

Familiarity with social media platforms (LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram, Facebook).

Strong content creation skills in Turkish, including visual design and copywriting; English content creation is a plus.

Web Editor
Role Overview: The Web Editor will define and maintain a brand new website that focuses on Turkey and global economics. the editor will be responsible for the website’s tone, style, and quality, ensuring all content is consistent, accurate, and engaging for a primarily Turkish-speaking audience. They will supervise content creation, commission freelancers, and contribute editorials, with a focus on current affairs and global economics. Fluency in Turkish (speaking and writing) is required, with English proficiency highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities:

Editorial Oversight:

Establish and maintain the website’s editorial style guide, ensuring high-quality content in Turkish.

Edit and proofread articles and commentary in Turkish, ensuring accuracy, coherence, and alignment with the website’s voice. English content oversight is a plus.

Supervise and approve submissions from contributors and freelancers.

Commission articles, interviews, and op-eds, particularly in Turkish, but with the ability to coordinate bilingual content where relevant.
